Tee-Ball / Softball Program – 2025

As of March 25, 2025 – REGISTRATION IS CLOSED
THE PROGRAM IS FULL FOR THE 2025 SEASON

Fees – Only $45.00 per player, plus a $10 membership to the Josephburg Agricultural Society (per family).
Includes a T-Shirt & Ball Cap that each player gets to keep!

Plus…  Individual player pictures and team pictures – at no additional cost!

Recreational Tee-Ball and Softball is gearing up for another season of fun. This is a parent-lead, rural softball program is aimed at teaching the fundamentals of the sport. Much like minor hockey, coaches come from the parent/grandparent group of the kids registered. Josephburg Ag Society has invested in new equipment recently and are happy to provide the basic structure to the program with coordinators to organize the teams.

Josephburg has excellent shale ball diamonds, a great place to learn and grow your player’s interest in softball.

Tee-Ball – Ages 3 to 5
Softball – Ages 6 to 16

You need a ball glove, a good pair of runners and not-your-best t-shirt to start. We will have t-shirts and ball caps for the kids on order. We have bats, bases, limited helmets and balls.

PROGRAM RUNS FROM April 30 to June 25, 2025

  • Practices/Games – Monday & Wednesday nights, in Josephburg, (13 minutes East of Fort Sask.)
  • Tee-Ball – played at the North and Centre Diamonds across from our Country Playground 5:50pm – 7pm. Both nights.
  • Softball – is played at the South Shale Diamonds 5:50pm – 7:30 pm.

  • Dates cancelled due to bad weather may be made up at the end of the season (season ending no later than July 10, 2024)

PLEASE consider volunteering as we NEED HELP for Coaches, PLUS parents at Skills Stations, and to help with our Field Safety and First Aid Program!
    Tee-Ball Coaches & Assistants – (3) per team (12) total MINIMUM

Each Coach and Assistant Coach receives a courtesy T-shirt (with their FIRST NAME on the back) and Ball Cap that they keep in appreciation for helping.
Parent Volunteers set-up and take-down the Ball Equipment at each game. Depending on total Registration on some days, instead of game play, a Tee-Ball team may be learning at Skills Stations.
On those days the Coaching team will help their players at the Batting Station, the Throwing Station or the Catch and Throw Station.
Coaches will also bring out to the Field a Hand Sanitizer Cart for Players and Coaches to use, that will be kept on the Field of Play and they will use Alcohol wipes to clean equipment after each game.
Field Safety Parent – Does a quick walk around all three Diamonds looking for debris or perhaps other issues like a dead bird which they would remove or perhaps wasp nests that the County would deal with.
First Aid Parents – Preferably one per Diamond to help deal with minor cuts, scrapes or bumps using the First Aid kits provided.

Strathcona Book Mobile – We have scheduled our Tee-Ball & Softball4FUN programs so that families can take advantage of the Strathcona Book Mobile, on Wednesday nights from 7- 8 pm. Books and videos, can be returned them to the Fort Saskatchewan or Strathcona Public Library or the Book Mobile.
